A redesign in 20 minutes

In my experience most software development projects focus on functionality and forget about the user. In many cases they don’t even know who the users are. A common term I often hear is “Everyone is our target group“. But how can you design for everyone? You need to know your target groups and prioritize them.

I’m starting a section in my blog called “A redesign in 20 minutes” that will show how easy and fast it is to improve the user experience just by focusing on the users.

I’ve set up two simple rules for the redesign:

  • 6 minutes research
  • 14 minutes interaction design

The result will be a blog post (hopefully on a weekly basis).

If you any suggestions for stuff that doesn’t work very well then please let me know and I’ll redesign it.
