Sky Poker’s Instant Poker Lobby Makes The Portal More Alive!

Sky Poker makes the poker portal more alive with the integrated lobby and by not just having a button saying ”Instant Play” which opens up the portal in a new window as many other poker operators do.

I really like Sky Poker’s poker lobby which is integrated in the portal. This is the first implementation of this I’ve seen and it works really well.

This as a first step towards the next generation of gaming portals which I talk about in two previous blog posts:

• Player-created portal pages!

Another nice feature is the Quick Play function that you see in more and more poker clients today. It would be great if I could have it as a widget on my desktop so I can start a table really fast without needing to go to skypoker.com first.

The only downside is that you have to register to be able to watch tables and the registration process wasn’t very smooth. I even had to give them my credit card details even though I didn’t make a deposit.
