Is Hero Gaming Innovating Online Slots With Their Blitz Product?

A few weeks ago Hero Gaming launched their Blitz product (in cooperation with NetEnt) on casinoheroes.com, and I’ve been looking forward to try it out. And today I finally did 

Hero Gaming describes it as ”Blitz lets users play at higher speeds without having to wait for the slot reels to be displayed with each spin, something that is considered time-consuming for some players.”

I can understand that some players feel that the slots sometimes are time-consuming, but I do not believe that Blitz is the solution to that problem. To me the Blitz is something completely different, and you are not playing the slot game anymore.  Blitz let you choose your stake and the number of spins. Then it is an autoplay without playing the game, you just get the result of each spin.

For me it wasn’t very exciting, instead it felt more like a lottery where you don’t interact at all. It is also a faster way to spend money, which can be very dangerous for some players.

I am sure that some players will like the Blitz, but I don’t see it as a new exciting and innovative way to play slots.
